BOB BENTLEY

This book features the work of British artist Bob Bentley.

It contains about 240 pages of artwork from 1962 until 2020, printed in full colour from high resolution scans and photographs. The text is written by the artist charting the creative journey from his home town of Bideford in North Devon, to Brighton and then London.


Included are early experimental works, life drawings, etchings, lithographs and photographic collages. Some are inspired by myths, legends and an interest in the cultures of countries Bob visited over the years.


Much of this fascination came about through his experiences in film and television but when he became a director, winning a BAFTA artistic endeavours were somewhat sidelined.


He nonetheless kept his hand in showing a desire to express graphically without inhibition. In later years and during the 2020 pandemic, his creativity continued to
